Hamilton – Proctor & Gamble’s Intrinsa testosterone patches for women have proven that a high dose of the male hormone will give post-menopausal woman a boost for their sex drive.
Most women report a decrease in their sex drive after menopause. Women using the patch reported 2 to 3 satisfying sexual experiences a month. The producers of this patch claim that the boost is modest, but helpful. Most women using the patch are extremely satisfied with the results, and plan to continue using the treatment to keep their healthy sex lives.
For the women in the high-dose group, the numbers nearly doubled for increased sex drive, orgasm, pleasure, and self image. Unfortunately, it is claimed that women who use this patch may have to deal with extra hair growth that would not otherwise be without use of the patch. This can include facial hair, chest hair, and increased underarm hair.
It is also said that some volunteers participating in the experiments may develop breast cancer. In a few of the cases, however, some cases of cancer were clearly growing before treatment. Experts claim that the patch cannot be directly linked to the breast cancer in women using Proctor & Gamble’s Intrinsa testosterone patches. Expert Julia Heiman says that caution should be used when applying testosterone until they discover more about the possible link with breast cancer.
