New York – The Maple Leaf Foods plant in Toronto can begin distributing products once again.
It’ll be the first time since the nationwide listeriosis outbreak in August.
The plant has received approval by the Canadian Food Inspection agency to begin shipping processed meats.
Maple Leaf Foods had to shut the plant August 20th because two of its production lines were found to be the source of the listeria bacteria which led to numerous cases of listeriosis, and some deaths.
