New Vaccine Appears To Yield Excellent Protection Against Disease

Washington, D.C.- There is a new vaccine that has been the product of a new study being conducted by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and it appears to be able to protect well against the disease.
Chickenpox is a disease that for centuries has been where you catch it once, then you are thought immune.
In many cultures and communities, parents will allow their children to visit or go play and spend time with young children that are actively infected with chicken pox.
The idea is, that if a person catches chicken pox when they are young there are many less health concerns than if a person gets chicken pox as an adult.
Adult chicken pox can have a number of unpleasant and serious complications that tend not to be the case for juvenile chicken pox patients.
The new vaccine has been undergoing testing by the CDC, and appears to be highly effective.
The study has led to the reduction of the number of chickenpox cases by as much as 90 percent among those that have received the vaccine.
The number of cases of Chickenpox has been reduced from 1995 to 2005 by as much as 75 percent among those people that were given the vaccine, and the number of deaths also has sharply decreased by as much as 74 percent.
Health experts are trying to raise the awareness of the new CDC vaccine, as most people have never heard of it and do not know that it exists, despite its high effective rate.
