Quebec Doctor Claims Canadian System Needs Urgent Repair

Montreal- Sometimes it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, but in the case of the Canadian Health Care system, sometimes it’s the entire machine that is screaming for attention.

Dr. Robert Quellet is an experienced radiologist, and health professional with over 20 years practicing and treating patients in Canada.

But he has had enough with the red tape, and the struggles to get the materials; resources and funding to be able to offer the type of health care services that he believes the people in Canada are entitled to.

Dr. Quellet is the new president of the Canadian Medical Association, and he is stepping out and declaring that the entire system in Canada needs repair, and needs fixing badly.

He has been accused of trying to privatize the health care system in Canada, but he insists that is not his goal.

He is tired of trying to find ways to shorten the long wait times for patients to see doctors and the lack of quality health care availability in Canada.

Recently when the Cite De La Sante Hospital in Laval, Quebec where he works refused to purchase a CT scanner, no matter what he and his fellow doctors did.

So, instead Dr. Quellet created a private clinic with his fellow doctors, and purchased the badly needed equipment themselves, and then got other areas doctors to support their clinic with referrals.
