Many Receiving Stents Obtain Good Results
Washington, D.C.- A new study has showcased the results of obtaining a Angioplasty, and it points to the positive results from the heart attack relieving surgery.
Nearly 2,287 patients were surveyed as part of a Canadian and United States study entitled “Courage†short for Clinical Outcomes Utilizing Revascularization and Aggressive Drug Evaluation.
The stent surgery has provided up to three years of benefits that in the past was only accessible by using intense drug treatment.
The study points to positive results using stents, and it yields positive results and the avoidance of more intensive surgery.
In March 2007 the same researchers examined different drug therapy as a method of dealing with heart attacks and death, and found that Stents are able to give the same results as intensive drug therapy.
European studies are finding that newer stents combined with different drugs to reduce arterial blockages have done remarkably well. This has been an excellent method of preventing long-term heart failure, and stents are obtaining long-term usage.
When stents are used, patients get better in shorter lengths of time than with drug surgery by itself, and many patients are able to get surgery easier than it was to obtain in the past.
