Generic Method Of Directed Growth Successful

Toronto- Scientists and Researchers working in Canada have found a method of causing stem cells to grow in a specific manner from human embryos.

The generic method of directed growth is caused by adding a gene into DNA from a human embryo, which causes batched of cells to grow.

While still early in the research it is believed that this directed growth method might eventually lead to the ability to grow different, possible replacement organs.

This is an exciting new discovery, and it is one that will be studied and examined for a long time to truly understand what is occurring.

The cells, called progenitor cells, are able to be caused to grow endlessly, and this is suggestive that they may be able to serve as a supply of starter material from which to grow specific organs and tissues.

The research is still in the very early stages, but it can possibly be used to grow tissues and specific organs upon demand. While this is still some distance off, the potential for such possible uses is there, according to Canadian scientists from Toronto who have discovered this new method.
