Women Diagnosed In 2nd And 3rd Case Found In County This Year
San Diego- Two San Diego women have been found to have contracted the West Nile Virus, and their illness brings the discovered number of cases in the county to 3 so far.
The health officials in San Diego County reveal that the 58-year-old woman from Del Mar, and the 38-year-old Carlsbad lady both were put into the hospital and they were diagnosed separately while in the hospital.
In addition, there is a man in San Diego, 24 years of age that has also been diagnosed with West Nile, for the third known case of the disease this year in San Diego Country.
Health officials around the Nation are holding their breath, especially in locations such as in the Midwest where there have been a great deal of flooding, because a high level of a certain type of mosquito is how the West Nile Virus is spread.
The flooding has led to a higher than normal levels of mosquitoes around the nation, and health officials are concerned that his may lead to more cases of West Nile than expected or seen at up to now.
