Health Professionals Praise Announcement Of Providing Diabetic Aid
Ontario- The decision for the province of Ontario to provide insulin pumps for those citizens that have Type I insulin dependent diabetes was praised yesterday.
One fan of the new provision is the diabetic education nurse at Belleville hospital, who was ecstatic about the new provision.
Joyce Wardle is the nurse assigned to diabetic education and support at the hospital in Belleville, and she praised the decision to provide the insulin pumps to all Ontario citizens that need them that suffer from Diabetes.
“We are responsible for helping people have the tools to combat their diseases, and these Insulin pumps will make a huge difference,” said Nurse Wardle.
Providing insulin dependent people with insulin pumps will give them more ability to work and function normally, and it will support the efforts of the Ontario provincial leaders to assist in being supportive of health care for their citizens.
The sponsorship of insulin pumps will allow the administration of insulin to be more even, more disciplined and less invasive for nearly all Type I diabetes sufferers.
Most of the diabetics in the province of Ontario are Type 2 diabetics, and many are not insulin dependent.
But for those that have type I diabetes, this new insulin pump provision will do much toward providing these citizens with a better quality of life.
