Male Infertility Aided By Means Less Invasive Than Other Treatment

New York- A new method of treating swollen veins in the male reproductive system appear to be effective in treatment of male infertility, according to a new study.

Swollen veins in the male scrotum is the condition referred to as varicoceles, but new research indicates that the issue can be dealt with using a new procedure called retrograde venous embolization.

This is a procedure done using a tiny catheter, and it works to prevent excessive blood flowing to the different veins which allow them to shrink normally back to their normal size.

The new research is being published in the medical journal Radiology, and it indicates that male infertility from varicoceles can be dealt with by using minimally invasive methods, helping to solve the infertility as well as assisting a generally troubling male health issue.

The procedure also appears to aid in the overall quality of the male sperm produced and this has resulted in a 33 percent increase in pregnancies among men attempting to father children that suffer from infertility.

The study was performed at the University of Bonn Medical School in Germany, and it involved 223 men that were suffering from various degrees of infertility.
