Health Advisory On Monday Followed By Better Air Rest Of Week
San Francisco-The fires that have plagued the Bay area are beginning to be controlled, and the threat of dry lightning that started the fires in the first place is also lessening.
Temperatures for the Bay area are not expected to rise as high as they were last week, the temperatures through the July 4th weekend are not expected to rise above 95 degrees.
A strong wind would certainly help clear the smoke out of the valley, but barring that the conditions for the Bay area Air Quality are expected to slowly but surely improve.
The air quality is still somewhat unhealthy but it is improving slowly but surely.
There is still the possibility of dry lightning in areas of the Sierras, but most of the danger from that source of ignition appears to have passed.
This is the first time in recent years that such wildfires have been started in this method, and the smoke fire and other accompanying conditions caught much of the Bay area and its residents by surprise.
People with breathing conditions or difficulty breathing have been advised to stay indoors much of the past week, and with improving air conditions those advisories are looking to be lifted this coming week.
