Atlanta, GA- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issues preliminary numbers of the number of Americans who have contracted Diabetes over the last two years.
Nearly 8 percent of the overall population now has the disease, and it is mainly the Type 2, Adult onset variety of diabetes that has taken the largest rise in its presence among Americans.
More than a quarter of the people who are age 60 years and older have diabetes, and the world wide figures of people with diabetes also is slated to rise to nearly 366 million people by the year 2030.
This is about double of the rate of diabetes in the public today.
The World Health Organization supplies the worldwide estimate, and diabetes cases as well as those people who are poor and indigent around the world seem to be on the increase.
