More Severe Than Last Three Seasons This Year Is Proving Intense

Washington-The influenza season seems to be on the way out but this season has been marked with more illness and sickness from influenza sources than the last three.
The rates of death due to pneumonia and flu are greater than has been seen in the last 14 months, and at the worst point in the cycle during March this year, influenza and contributing illness was seen as contributing or underlying nearly 9.1 percent of all deaths in the nation.
These statistics were released on the online version of a statement from the CDC.
This years flu vaccine did help normally about 58 percent of the time from contracting any form of the Influenza A. Generally despite efforts on the part of health care professionals vaccines do not normally work well among the elderly or among children.
If 100 people are not vaccinated and all are exposed to the influenza virus about 10 people will normally get sick. If a vaccine has an effectiveness of 70 percent, then only 3 percent should contract the disease.
It is very difficult to forecast directly what type of vaccine should be made, by the time its evident what type of influenza is making the rounds, then it’s too late to prepare a vaccine, which takes several months to put together. And so even in the best situations, it is an educated guess.
