Boston – FTD Group, Inc. , a leading floral and gift provider, is increasing its support for breast cancer patients during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month by enhancing its product line and partnering with Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization(TM). This Chicago-based national nonprofit organization promotes information, empowerment and support for breast cancer patients and working to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone.

“We were so inspired by Y-ME(R) at FTD that we felt strongly about stepping up our own efforts to raise public awareness about breast cancer,” said FTD.com Executive Vice President, Bill Van Cleave. “It is our hope that through this partnership we can help make the process easier for those living with the disease.”

FTD is the Official Florist of Y-ME and will donate 10% of the purchase price of six “Pink Ribbon Collection” bouquets found at http://www.ftd.com from October 1, 2007 – May 31, 2008.

The “Pink Ribbon” Collection features an array of pink and white flower bouquets, with names calling for awareness today and hope for tomorrow, including the “Compassionate Callings” bouquet which features a pink-tinted glass vase filled with pink and white Gerber daisies, and “Blooms of Hope,” featuring an assortment of pink flowers. Todd Oldham has also joined the cause, designing a special Breast Cancer Awareness Bouquet of deep pink roses.

“We are so thrilled that we can count on FTD’s support,” said Margaret C. Kirk, CEO of Y-ME. “They have been an incredible partner from the start and we’re so pleased that they are helping us meet the needs of patients who need access to the resources and the support necessary to battle breast cancer today.”
