Lindsay Lohan is in the hospital receiving tests after a car accident which occurred in Los Angeles on Friday. Lindsay was driving her black Porsche along the Pacific Coast Highway when she rear ended an 18-wheeler.

Photos of the accident have been released and they show that the front of her Porsche was completely totaled. The windows were smashed and there was a lot of structural damage.

Lohan was taken to an emergency room immediately following the accident, although she did choose not to go by ambulance. Preliminary reports seem to show that she is OK but there are still more test that she needs to undergo while she is being held for observation.

Lindsay has recently finished supervised probation and community service after having previous run-ins with the law. She is currently filming an adaptation of Elizabeth Taylor’s life for the Lifetime network where Lindsay plays the late film star Elizabeth Taylor.
