Jewish Officer in Mel Gibson anti-Semitic tirade gets trial
Actor Mel Gibson, who was arrested in 2006 for drunk driving, has had trouble maintaining his career after his remarks to a Jewish L.A. county deputy. The arresting officer has been granted a trial, Thursday, for Mr. Gibson’s anti-semantic rant in the 2006 arrest, where he claims he was treated differently due to Mel Gibson’s star status.
Mee, the arresting offer, has claimed that his superiors ordered some of his report removed after the arrest in 2006. Mee also claims that he did not receive six or seven posts after complaining of the celebrity’s preferential treatment. The judge in the trial has expressed doubts regarding Mee’s claims of being treated differently because of his religion. It is more likely do to the celebrity of Mel Gibson and the star’s preferential treatment. The trial is scheduled to start in February of this year.
