On Thursday, November 19, Alexandra Kerry was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. Alexandra Kerry is the 36 year old daughter of Senator John Kerry. John Kerry was the democratic nominee in the 2004 presidential election.

Kerry initially refused to take the test and was brought to the Hollywood police station. She took a blood alcohol test there and was just under the legal limit at .06. She could still face charges for reckless driving.

Kerry was released on a $5,000 bail later than morning. A rep for her father, John Kerry, released a statement saying that Alexandra was initially pulled over for expired registration and that her alcohol level was below the legal limit. The rep stated that Sen. Kerry would have no further comment on this private matter.

Alexandra Kerry is an accomplished actress, director, producer, and writer. Her most recent project was producing the documentary Be Like Others which was released in 2008.
