According to CNN, Nicholas Cage who owes $6-million to the IRS also owed $5.5 in mortgage payments for two homes he owned in New Orleans, as well as $151,730 in real estate taxes to the city.
Both homes have now been lost to foreclosure.
Cage’s New Orleans homes that went on the auction block last week were the supposedly haunted LaLaurie Mansion at 1140 Royal Street in the French Quarter and a home at 2523 Prytania Street in the Garden District. The French Quarter home, appraised at $3.5 million, sold at $2.3 million, while the Garden District property, appraised at $3.3 million, sold for $2.2 million. Movers reportedly removed Cage’s belongings from the homes on Friday, People.com says.
Cage has filed a lawsuit against his former business manager in an effort to recoup some of his loses.
Cage, 45, has appeared in over 60 movies.
