Famous model and spokeswoman Cindy Crawford has been targeted in an extortion plot.

The accused perpetrator of this plot is a young male model named Edis “Eddie” Kayalar, age 26.

The plot began with a photo of her 7 year-old daughter, reportedly taken by a former nanny. The photo shows Cindy Crawford’s daughter bound and gagged to a chair. Authorities have said that the child participated in a ‘cops and robbers’ game with nanny when the photo was taken.

The model’s representative has issued a statement denying her previous knowledge of the photo.

Eddie Kayalar is an acquaintance of the former nanny who took the photo and has demanded $100,000.
He has promised to release the photo if his demands are not met.

Kayalar is a recent deportee to Germany where he is now facing one count of extortion charges. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence of up to two years. The nanny, whose name has not been released, has not been charged.
