Just a few days after a posting on her Twitter page that she was having heart surgery, Elizabeth Taylor’s heart procedure is now complete and went off without a hitch.

The 77 year-old actress tweeted about it Thursday saying “It’s like having a brand-new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I know they all helped. Love you, Elizabeth.”

Taylor also dismissed the rumours about her ailing heath and the reports of her having diabetes “I was completely honest with you about my hospitalization.

Now the press, bless their little hearts, had to add something, by saying that I had diabetes, which is a total lie. But I guess they can’t help themselves.”

Elizabeth Taylor’s last public appearance was at Michael Jackson’s funeral on September 3.
