Everyone has heard by now that at the MTV Video Music Awards, held in New York City on Sunday at Radio City Music Hall, Kanye West rushed the stage just as Taylor Swift was starting to make her acceptance speech. He stated that she should not have won because she did not deserve the award for best female video for her song “You Belong with Me. Kanye West went on to say that Beyonce should of won the award.

Taylor Swift was interviewed on The View yesterday about the situation and said that although she was shocked, that she won and that Kanye West would do something like he did, she had to keep it together because she knew she had to perform five minutes later. Swift also stated that there were so many people after the incident that came up to her backstage and said wonderful things to her. She stated that she never realized she had that many people looking out for her and defending her.

Well, Kanye West has actually called Taylor Swift to apologize for the way he humiliated her at the awards . Taylor Swift has been quoted as saying he “seemed sincere” in his apology about upstaging her acceptance speech. She accepted his apology.
