Only days after the Kanye West incident at the MTV MVA’s Taylor Swift was on “The View” to chat with the ladies about happened.
“I think my overall thought process was something like, ‘Wow I can’t believe I won. This is awesome. Don’t trip and fall. I’m going to get to thank the fans, this is so cool–oh, Kanye West is here,” she said. “Kanye West is here, cool haircut, what are you doing there? And then ouch, and then I guess I’m not going to get to thank the fans.”
Swift went on to say that even though West had her “rattled,” she knew she had to quickly get passed it so she could be in “a place where she could perform.”
Despite several postings on his personal blog and even an apology via the new “Jay Leno Show”, Swfit said she has not personally received an apology from West.
However, shortly after “The View” aired, West phoned the 19-year-old country music star to appologize for the incident.
“After the show he spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and has apologized to the 19-year-old singer,” reads a statement from “The View.” “She has accepted Mr. West’s apology. The contents of the phone call are to remain private.”
During her interview Swfit expressed her surprise and gratitude towards everyone who showed support.
“I never imagined there were that many people looking out for me,” she said. “It was really wonderful seeing people out there defending me so I didn’t have to.”
