Hamilton – When you are hot in Hollywood, the rumors are going to fly! And the rumor that Vanessa Hudgens, of High School Musical fame, has auditioned for a part in New Moon is no different.

The rumor mill had Miss Hudgens auditioning for the part of the friend/enemy of Jacob Black in the sequel to Twilight named New Moon.

The part of Leah Clearwater, a werewolf, was not on Miss Hudgen’s agenda according to her representative. The rumor came from an Ashley Greene interview with MTV at the Golden Globes Award on Sunday where it was stated that Vanessa Hudgens had auditioned for the part, which Miss Hudgens’ representative has denied. While her career has encompassed such films as Thirteen and Thunderbirds, as well as the extremely popular role of Gabriella Montez in the Disney Channel film High School Musical, the 20 year old actress denies rumors that her future stints will include the role of Leah Clearwater in New Moon.

Miss Hudgens’ career also includes two albums, V released in 2006, and Identified, released on July 1, 2008. So while singing, dancing and acting are definitely included in the repertoire of this stunning starlet, a new direction for her career won’t, at the moment, include fangs.
