New York - The Democratic camp has launched an advertising campaign for its candidate for the White House Barack Obama in online video games.
The campaign, which began on October 6 and should be completed on the eve of elections on November 4, includes games such asĀ “Burnout Paradise” “Madden 09″, “NASCAR 09″, and “NHL 09″ , aid Holly Rockwood, director of corporate communications at Electronic Arts.
“I can confirm that the Obama campaign has paid for in-game advertising in Burnout,” said Rockwood.
“Like most television, radio and print outlets, we accept advertising from credible political candidates. Like political spots on the television networks, these ads do not reflect the political policies of EA or the opinions of its development teams.”
In the game Burnout, as you drive on the highway you pass billboards and on one of them you see an advertisement for Mr. Obama.
These ads will be visible in ten U.S. states by users of the online game of the XBox 360: Xbox Live. They call particular voters to vote in advance, as is possible in some U.S. states.
