
Hamilton – Youtube has announced that it will begin offer TV shows from CBS and is negotiating with other major producers to also deliver content.
There are already many Americans channels that broadcast short videos on the site owned by Google.
Some of the new shows to air on YouTube include 90210, Dexter and Californication.
According to Reuters, this step is part of building a business that offers professional programing. Content that is streamed on Youtube have so far been ten minutes or so, but the company has been testing longer videos lately with programs from Time Warner and CBS.
YouTube executives have announced that they will give publicity to these programs and that profits from advertisements will be shared between both companies. Nevertheless, the economic terms of the agreement have not been published.
On the other hand, a few days ago, YouTube announced that it would offer users a buying service online content such as videos or video games, and it will have direct access to shops like Amazon and iTunes.
