Washington – The latest release from Electronic Arts, Spore on the PC, has fallen victim to piracy.
Spore has been dubbed as one of the most highly-anticipated PC games of all-time, and rightfully so.
The game has been in development for years, and seemed poised to overtake games such as The Sims, and other high-profile releases.
EA recently released the game to the public, with a strict new DRM.
The DRM, or copyright protections, limit users to 3 installations of Spore.
This has sparked thousands of people to head to Amazon to give on a One Star rating, the lowest.
This has also led to thousands upon thousands of people downloading the game off of BitTorrent, as it has been downloaded over 500,000 times so far.
EA has yet to publicly respond to the issue.
