Los Angeles – Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to a baby girl earlier yesterday.
People Magazine is reporting Jamie and finance Casey Aldridge named the baby Maddie Briann.
“We’re so excited for her,” a family friend tells PEOPLE. “She’ll be a great mom. She’ll be awesome.”
Adds another friend, “She was so excited about having this child. (She was) looking forward to it so much.”
Britney, her dad and brother all arrived in Louisiana yesterday to be there for the birth.
