Los Angeles - Remy Ma has has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

A New York judge handed down the ruling earlier today and was surprisingly lenient; Ma faced up to 25 years after being found guilty recently of shooting a woman during a dispute.

And it looks like a cell block wedding won’t be happening for Remy and Papoose any time soon.

The rapper and her boyfriend had plans to tie the knot at the correctional facility.

The New York Post is reporting however that Papoose has been banned from seeing his would-be bride after guards discovered a key that could open handcuffs on him.
