Washington – The finals for American Idol will be David Cook going up against David Archuleta, as Syesha Mercado is expected to be voted off tomorrow night.

The top three performed on Tuesday night on American Idol, with Syesha, David Cook, and David Archuleta all performing 3 songs each.

David Cook stole the show with three top-notch performances, capped off with a great version of Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing to close the show.

David Archuleta did decent, coming in second behind Cook due to weird songs. His Billy Joel song was not all that entertaining, no rwas Christ Brown’s With You.

Syesha Mercado was clearly the worst of the three though, even if she did decent.

Her best song was Fever followed by Alicia Keys if I Ain’t Got You.

Her final song, Hit Me Up, may have done her in though. A song about penguins will not cut it to get into the finals.
