Los Angeles – People.com confirmed with actress Scarlett Johansson’s rep, Marcel Pariseau, that the Lost in Translation star and Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds are engaged.

Pariseau said, “They’re both thrilled.”

Reynolds, 31, reportedly asked Johansson, 23, for her hand in marriage only recently, even though buzz of their engagement has long since traveled the rumour mill.

A wedding date for the lovers has yet to be set.

This will be both Johansson and Reynolds’ first marriage though Reynolds was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette.
