Los Angeles – Singer Mariah Carey and Drumline star, Nick Cannon, have been stealing the show in the gossip scene lately regarding their rumoured engagement.

However, E! Online reports that the lovebirds had an impromptu wedding on Wednesday night.

E! is certain that the pair is married as the news source was Cannon’s mom, Linda. “Yes, we know,” said Linda. “He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him.”

Their rep only confirmed on Thursday that the ring recently seen on Carey’s hand is a $2.5 million 17-carat gift from Cannon.
