
Los Angeles – After the votes were counted it was determined that Ramiele Malubay’s stint on FOX’s “American Idol” is finished.
Given her weak performances week-after-week, it was no real surprise to see the pint-sized singer go home.
Malubay sang “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” Speaking of her performance, Randy Said, “I’m not jumping up and down, but I’m not mad at youâ€.
Joining Malubay in the bottom three this week was Kristy Lee Cook — who’s been in the bottom three consistantly — and Brooke White.
The nine remaining finalists performed Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5†at the beginning of the show for the group song.
The show aslo featured a performance from the Clark Brothers – winners of FOX’s “The Next Great American Band.â€
Dolly Parton performed “Jesus & Gravity” from her new album “Backwoods Barbie.”
David Cook addressed his hospitalization last night by stating that he “[has] high blood pressure, and it spiked.†He said he was taken to the hospital as a precaution and that everything is now fine
The final eight contestants for American Idol include Brooke White, Michael Johns, David Archuleta, Kristy Lee Cook, Carly Smithson, Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado.
