Los Angeles - Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, according to media reports Friday.
The couples rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms to People magazine exclusively, but refused to give any explanation. The couple has been married 11 years and have a son and a daughter, Hopper, 14, and Dylan, 16.
“Marriage ain’t easy, but it’s great most of the time,” Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. “I love Robin. I’ve always loved her.”
Robin is best-known for her roles in the movies “The Princess Bride,” “Forrest Gump” and “Moll Flanders.”
Penn was previously married to Madonna for four years and won an Oscar for “Mystic River”.
