Los Angeles – The mother of hip-hop star Kanye West passed away at the age of 58 this weekend.
The reason of her death is undisclosed at the moment but multiple sources claim her passing was due to complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure.
Dr. Donda West is mostly known for being the mother of Kanye West but she was an accomplished scholar and a college professor for 31 years.
Kanye was reportedly in London shooting a music video when he received the news of his mother’s death.
The West family has asked for the media to respect their privacy “during this time of grief”.
