Hollywood (EON) – Deborah Kerr is an extremely famous and legendary Hollywood actress who had some amazing moments on screen. She unfortunately has passed away at the age of 86.
Kerr suffered from Parkinson’s diease and died on Tuesday in Suffolk, England according to her agent Anne Hutton.
Kerr is best known for her kiss with Burt Lancaster in “From Here to Eternity.” It is the scene where they are kissing as waves crash up against them while they are on a beach in Hawaii.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominated Kerr for best actress six times but she unfortunately never won an Academy Award. She was presented an honorary Oscar though back in 1994 for her amazing career.
She was born in Scotland and was the only daughter of a civil engineer and architect who died when she was 14. She is survived by second husband Peter Viertel, two daughters, and three grandchildren.
