Boston (EON) – The 16th studio album for Bruce Springsteen titled Magic has debuted at the number 1 spot as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band managed to sell through 335,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week.
The sales numbers of 335,000 copies in the U.S. in the first week were released by Nielsen SoundScan. This is the 8th time that Springsteen has found himself at the top of the pop chart in the United States.
The highly anticipated album from Springsteen comes just as he is ready to kick off another major tour with two dates in Los Angeles set for October 29th and 30th.
Coming in 2nd behind Springsteen was Rascal Flatts with Still Feels Good which sold 168,000 copies in its second week. In third was the new Matchbox Twenty release Exile on Mainstream which sold 131,000 copies, beating out Soulja Boy’s souljabytellem.com at number 4 with 117,000 copies sold.
J. Holiday rounded out the top 5 with Back of My Lac, selling 105,000 copies.
