Boston (EON) – Britney Spears is going to put out her new album “The Blackout” two weeks early as it will now release on October 30th due to problems with leaks on the internet and piracy.
Jive records has stated that the album is going to be released two weeks earlier than expected in an effort to prevent any further leaking of it on the internet.
Many sites such as TMZ have leaked demos from the new album which include her hit single on the charts, “Gimme More.” Jive is hoping to try and close the wound a bit and garner as many sales as they can from the album before everyone has downloaded it already.
Spears’ new single “Gimme More” is doing extremely well on music stores such as iTunes, as is the music video for the same track.
This is her fifth album since releasing her debut album back in 1999. Her last album was titled “In The Zone” and debuted at No. 1 on the pop charts back in 2003.
How “The Blackout” does is up to the consumer but if the success of “Gimme More” is any indication, Britney Spears will be doing just fine come October 30th.
