Boston (EON) – ABC Radio has struck a deal with Don Imus to allow him to return to the airwaves and will make his return on or around December 3rd.
Don Imus fans can be happy once again as he is making a comeback into radio as he will start on or around December 3rd filling up the morning time slot on WABC-AM with the “Imus in the Morning Show.”
Not too long ago Imus and his cast were all fired by CBS for racial comments made towards the Rutgers women’s basketball team. CBS was forced to drop the show and NBC removed him from his MSNBC morning broadcast.
Imus is not coming back alone either as he is coming back with his entire original cast. This includes his writer and producer Bernard McGuirk.
ABC Radio is owned by Citadel Broadcasting and will make the announcement official this week. There are no news yet on which advertisers will follow Imus over to ABC and how fans will react to his comeback onto radio.
