George Harrison was a former Beatles member and a worldwide icon tos ay the least. The legend of George Harrison is not going to die thanks to Scorsese. The family of the late great George Harrison has opened up their archives to the amazing director so that he has all the material he needs to work his magic.

Scorsese has stated that the film would dig beneath the surface of the legendary musical artist. He stated that “Harrison’s music and his search for spiritual meaning is a story that still resonates today and I’m looking forward to delving deeper.”

The film will follow Harrison, who died in 2001 at the age of 58 from cancer, starting with his childhood and moving forward through his times as a member of The Beatles.

Early production and interviews will begin later this year. It is expected to take two years to complete the project.
