For Christmas this year Sarah Burge gave her seven-year-old daughter, Poppy, a $10,000 voucher for liposuction to be used after the girl’s sixteenth birthday.

Burge is a British woman sometimes know has the “Human Barbie” because she has reportedly undergone nearly $1 million worth of cosmetic surgery. In defense of her gift, Burge has said that her child requests the surgeries, and that by giving this gift certificate Burge is “just supporting her [daughter] to make her dreams come true.”

Burge also offered the following explanation of the present: “I see these vouchers as investing in her future, like saving money for her education.” This is not the first such gift Poppy Burge has received from her mother. Indeed, Poppy’s last birthday present was a gift certificate for breast augmentation.
