At approximately 8:40pm at the Xiaoshan Airport an unidentified flying object (UFO) was reported in Hangzhou China. Immediately the airport was shut down for outgoing flights and incoming flights were re-routed to the two closest airports. It only took minutes to close the airport and not long after the media was all over the coverage.
The object disappeared quickly and the airport was reopened less than an hour after the initial citing. The commotion caused eighteen flights to be altered and a variety of news stories to form. Some speculate that the object was a Russian satellite designed to spy on the Chinese or perhaps even a United States missile attack gone wrong. The idea that any government entity would risk attacking another country at this hardship in the economy without notice would be preposterous.
The speculated reason behind the UFO sighting that sounds most credible is the Chinese government themselves. The aircraft or satellite responded very quickly as if alerted immediately by those responsible in China for its accidental appearance. It could be a military experiment that got a little too close to the population of Hangzhou but the intent doesn’t appear to be malicious in nature.
The term UFO is accurate in the description of the lights that appeared in the sky in China even though extraterrestrial activity seems highly unlikely. The craft or satellite is in fact still unidentified. There are many images and videos streaming online for viewers who would like to make their own conclusions. The Chinese government currently denies any allegations of military activity by their own country or by any other to cause the lights over Xiaoshan Airport. Investigations will continue to find the cause of the object’s appearance and to put the citizens of China and those all over the world at ease.
