New details, including two videos, have been released in the newlywed murder-for-hire case of Dalia Dippolito.
Dippolito was arrested in August by Palm Beach, Fla., authorities after she tried to hire a hit man to murder her husband, Michael Dippolito. However, according to 400 pages of documents released by police, Dippolito has tried to kill her husband two other times by hiring a hit man. She even put anti-freeze in his tea once and tried to have him arrested as a drug dealer.
Palm Beach authorities released a video of Dippolito talking with a man she believes is a hit man, but actually was an undercover police officer. He twice offers her a chance to back out, but she insists her husband has to be killed.
The interrogation video shows her breaking down at the news of her husband’s death, which authorities faked as part of the sting operation. She’s then shown rejoicing to find out he is alive and then is told the police know she tried to hire a hit man.
Phone records released by the police also reveal Dippolito made an appeal for help from her husband after her arrest for soliciting his murder, but he declined.
