Mayra Rosales was charged last week in the March 18 death of 2-year-old Eliseo Gonzalez Jr., who prosecutors say was hit twice in the head.

However, the lawyer for Rosales says his client is too obese to commit the crime.  He claims his client lacks the movement capable of killing someone, calling it an “impossibility.”

Jamie Rosales the boy’s 20-year-old mother, is also charged with injury to a child for leaving her son in the care of someone who is bedridden.

She believes that the death was an accident caused by her sister rolling over onto the child.

U.S. Space Agency Is Looking Into Why Launch Malfunctioned

Virginia- The combined efforts by the US National Space Agency and Alliant Technical Systems, Inc. is focused on the failure of a rocket to launch correctly from its pad on Friday.

The location for liftoff was from the NASA space site in Wallops Flight Facility, located in Virginia, and the time that the rocket was supposed to lift off was 5:10am in the morning.

The fact that the rocket did lift off but then had to be destroyed was very disappointing to NASA, but the main issue in recent years for the Space Agency has been to insure that the public safety was never at risk.

NASA is gathering an investigation team that is multidisciplinary in nature, to fully investigate exactly what happened with the rocket launch failure.

The rocket actually lifted off but then had to be destroyed shortly after it took off at 5:10am. An unexpected anomaly suddenly occurred that made the launch safety officers self-destruct the rocket about 27 seconds into the launch.

Washington  - Colleges and universities across the U.S. are in support of lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18.

The leaders from over 100 colleges and universities across the U.S. have joined for the push to lower the drinking age.

The belief is that if they can do this, they will be able to reduce binge drinking among college kids.

Research has shown that binge drinking takes place before they go out to clubs and such at night.

Lowering the drinking age to 18 could push more casual drinking, and less binge drinking.

Many are against this though, including MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), as they feel it would lead to more fatal car crashes.
