Tiger App for Cheaters

Tiger Woods wishes the new application released by Apple for the Iphone was around during his wild days. On February 25th, Iphone unveiled the Tiger Text, an application tailored made for cheating spouses. Basically what Tiger Text does is set a time limit to how long a text can remain in a person’s inbox. The good thing is that the message will also disappear from any servers that the text message or email is sent from. Sorry, Tiger!

How the application works is when a person sends a text using the application, the recipient will get a prompt to go and install Tiger Text. The message is on the Tiget Text server and therefore will not save to the other phone. The message will have a time limit from one minute to five days. Once the timer has run out, the message is discarded and not to be heard of again.

Tiger Text goes for $2.50 a month and it also will erase any evidence of phone numbers. The founders of Tiger Text claim that the name was thought of before the Tiger scandal broke and they decided to keep the name. They are also saying that there has been a huge interest from lawyers and corporate heads concerning Tiger Text.

After eight years, Bloom Energy is getting ready to unveil their new Bloom Box. The Bloom Box is an alternative energy source that is powerful enough to run large businesses and several homes.

The Bloom Box uses resources like water, wind, solar and gas. This is a huge advance in green technology and most of corporate America is excited to embrace this technology. Corporations like Wal-Mart will be giving the new technology a try. Google, Ebay, and Federal Express are already using the fuel cells and have reported they have power 98 percent of the time.

K.R Sridhar began this adventure with financial assistance from a number of venture capitalists including Kleiner Perkins. Kleiner Perkins helped get Google and Amazon off the ground. US Secretary of State Colin Powell is backing the new technology along with California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Bloom Energy will hold a more in depth press conference
that will hopefully include specifics like cost and availability. Sridhar was very elusive during the original interview and left many wondering if this technology is ready to be unleashed on the world yet. The fuel cells could eventually be used in place of the current power grids that are used to power city blocks.

Starting Monday, motorists in Ontario who get caught driving with a cell-phone in their hand will receive a $155 fine.

Police officers will no longer simply be letting drivers off with a warning as they have been doing for the past three months. Instead they will start fully enforcing the provisions of Bill 118, or Ontario’s Countering Distracted Driving law which went into effect Oct. 26.

The law is designed to enhance road safety by making it illegal for drivers to talk, text, type, or e-mail using a hand-held device when driving. The legislation also prohibits the viewing of DVDs or other displays that are not directly related to driving. Drivers can however continue using hands-free headsets, such as Bluetooth devices for making or receiving calls. They will be allowed to use hand-held phones for making emergency 911 calls.

Drivers of emergency vehicles and certain commercial vehicles will also be allowed to use hand-held devices under some circumstances.

Though the law was formally passed in October, Ontario’s Provincial Police allowed a three-month grace period for drivers to get accustomed to the law. During that time, the OPP have issued more than 3,000 warnings to drivers, but did not impose fines on anyone caught driving with a hand held device.

Starting Feb. 1 that grace period is formally over. The OPP has cautioned that from that day on, they will begin to aggressively enforce the provisions of the law in a bid to cut down on what they say is the growing danger posed by drivers chatting on phones or texting on them while also traveling at high speeds.

Some people within the media are really wondering in what direction the iPod will go into next in order to make sure that consumers are still interested in purchasing one.

The new iPod tablet has proven to be a hit among computer geeks and regular consumers alike, upon closer inspection however there is even one more reason to fall in love with the iPod tablet. The new level of battery life and speed on the iPod tablet’s A4 system is apparently to die for. The technology necessary to strike this perfect first began in 2005 and people who developed the iPod in its current form are still very tight lipped about such technology.

The iPod tablet certainly maintains the sleek nature of the iPod while giving people a chance to see what they need to see on the screen. This version of the iPod does make it easier for you to select the songs you want to listen to. Information technology professionals were very excited about the unveiling of the tablet at trade shows and some were truly overwhelmed with joy. You can certainly take this version of the iPod on a long train trip and not have to worry about it running out of juice half way through the trip.

According to a research report created by Deloitte, tens of millions of people will buy a new tablet computer in 2010. Deloitte, who is calling tablet computers “NetTabs,” believes the new tablet computers will meet the needs of consumers that Smartphones and laptop computers have not been able to meet so far.

The new tablet computers are expected to be widely used for entertainment purposes, such as listening to music, playing games, or watching movies. Many people feel that Smartphones are too small for these functions, while laptops and desktop computers are too large and bulky.

Despite the fact that tablet computers have been around for 20 years, they have not been successful in the marketplace. It is estimated that only about 1% of all computer sales in the past have been tablet computers. The lack of tablet computer sales is largely attributed to the facts that past table computers had poor connectivity and were inferior to other computers. The new consumer friendly tablet computers are sure to change the tablet computer’s reputation.

Apple is expected to unveil their newest tablet computer later this month. Hewlett Packard and Dell are both expected to showcase a tablet computer later this year.

RoXXXY the world’s first life-size robot girlfriend has just made her official public debut.

Perhaps the gentleman that recently married an animated version of the girl of his dreams is not as far out as people first thought. Could a robotic version of a female really be the romantic answer that shy guys have been hoping to find?

According to Douglas Hines who heads the TrueCompanion manufacturing company that designed RoXXXY this life size robot does indeed have what it takes to win male fans around the world. The RoXXXY robot even has a personality and she can respond to your voice, speak to you and listen to what you have to say. This is an anatomically correct sex robot that stands 5 feet 7 inches in height and weighs 120 pounds.

Although the RoXXXY robot has an articulated construction there is no independent movement. This means that the owner will have to move her from room to room and position her to stand or sit.

This robotic girlfriend may never disagree or argue but it still involves a gigantic stretch of the imagination to honestly think of her as being anything remotely close to a living, breathing human being. However for some people that synthetic skin, transistorized interior and lack of real responses could truly make RoXXXY the answer to their romantic dreams.

You might expect 3D High Definition Televisions to be the most popular item at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show [CES], but this year the e-book reader makes a splash in the gadget spot light. Many new challengers are preparing to take a piece of the market currently dominated by Amazon’s own Kindle e-book reader. Prices and consumer expectations vary as widely as the e-books themselves.

E-book readers have gained tremendous popularity since the introduction of the Amazon Kindle just a few years ago. The majority of e-book readers use e-ink display technology as their primary display. E-ink contributes to the higher pricing of the high-end e-books. Several manufactures are producing e-books with less expensive LCD displays, making them a good choice for the low-end market.

Two new comers this year to the e-book reader market are slates and dual screen devices. Slates are ultra thin touch sensitive devices typically with a much larger viewing area than regular e-book readers. Dual screen e-book readers are devices that are intended to bridge the gap between cell phones and netbooks. Unfortunately, powering two displays, make these devices slightly bulkier heavyweights in a lighter, less power hungry playing field.

Some very exciting news for sports fans and television viewers in general was announced recently. ESPN has stated they will air the FIFA World Cup match on June 11, 2010 while debuting 3D. The Discovery Channel is teaming up with IMAX and Sony for the first 3D channel in 2011.

DirecTV Inc. is also going to start two 3D channels and a on demand service in the United States. The details could be announced as early as later this week. Many 3D enabled televisions will be debuted this week in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Of course, things are never simple though and you will need a 3d capable TV set and possibly new set-top boxes to receive the channels. Oh and do not forget those funny glasses. Word has not leaked out yet whether or not there will be extra costs involved in the 3D programming. You are going to need a new 3D blu-ray or dvd player also.

As a means of protecting the citizenry and maintaining safer driving environments, the state of Oregon has banned talking or texting on cell phones while driving. There is a loophole within the law, however, that might possibly undermine it. Specifically, the loophole allows for drivers to contact people via cell phone if they need to discuss something with colleagues at work. This was designed mainly for tow truck and taxi drivers. But, the wording of the law does not mention them directly. As a result, any call one makes that is vaguely connected to work related duties could lead to the circumvention of the law.

At present, this makes for a confusing situation since law enforcement is not sure of which drivers are to be pulled over for a citation and which ones are not. Granted, it is up to the driver to provide proof but the circumstances surrounding how to provide the proof remain ambiguous.

While some motorists may attempt to circumvent the law by providing false reasons, this would not be a wise move. It is certainly not advisable to present a false statement to a police officer and lying about a phone call in traffic court would be perjury.

Currently, the Oregon state legislature is looking for a way to close the loophole by making the law clearer.

The legal tension between the social networking powerhouse Facebook and Seppukoo.com may finally make its way to a courtroom. Facebook’s lawyers have insisted that Seppukoo.com has violated the privacy of Facebook users.

Facebook contends that Suppukoo.com has violated Facebook’s statement of rights and responsibilities, which states the website’s relationship with its users. Facebook’s lawyers have ordered a “cease and desist” order against Seppukoo.com. If they fail to do so, legal action will be taken. Seppukoo is a site that offers a “virtual suicide” for people to use on their Facebook profiles, if they are dissatisfied with their accounts and want to shut them down, instead of the traditional deactivation way.

Facebook users who use the application from Seppukoo.com type in their information as if they were logging onto their regular facebook account (e-mail and password), then their page will be terminated. The application also gives the users the ability to say their last words. After the deactivation, users can still restore their Facebook accounts by logging back onto Facebook.com The application even send a notice to the users friends that the person has committed virtual suicide.

The creators of Seppukoo have no intentions of taking down the application.
