Los Angeles - America has voted and Syesha Mercado has been voted off American Idol.
The elimination this week really didn’t come as a surprise considering the two David’s have been favorites to reach the finals for the past several weeks.
However, Syesha’s songs this week sure didn’t help her cause either.
Each idol sang three songs on Tuesday, one from the shows producers, one picked by the Idol judges, and their own song choice.
For her song choice, Syesha sang “Fever.” Although she sang it “well,” the song was too old fashioned for this stage of the competition. Even Simon said she would “regret the decision.”
While trying to fill the hour long show, we also got to see footage of when the Idols returned back to their home towns.
Former Idol contestant Fantasia Barrino also performed.
With the departure of Syesha, the final two contestants on American Idol are David cook and David Archelto.
Who’s going to win?
Los Angeles - Over the past several weeks, the internet has been buzing with rumors that Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt are expecting twins.
Angelina Jolie finally put rumour to rest today, confirming in an interview with Access Hollywood that she and Pitt are indeed expecting twins.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already,” Jolie, 32, said.
Earlier Wednesday, at Cannes Film Festival press conference for the new film “Kung Fu Panda,” Jolie’s co-star Jack Black accidently let it slip that Jolie is eating “for three.”
The genetically blessed babies will be the 5th and 6th for Jolie and Pitt, whose brood currently includes of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, nearly 2.

London - After being arrested last week for drug offences, police have decided to drop their investigation of Amy Winehouse.
Officials had questioned Winehouse about a video of her allegedly smoking crack.
Amy’s spokesperson released a statement saying the singer is happy no further action will be taken and is looking forward to playing festivals this summer.
Last month Winehouse was cautioned by police after she slapped a man during a night out.
Los Angeles - Mariah Carey and new husband Nick Cannon held a party at Six Flags Theme Park on Tuesday to celebrate their nuptials.
Reportedly, the party was for all the people who weren’t invited to their intimate wedding in the Caribbean.
Carey was recently on the Ellen Degeneres show showing off her massive ring and said Nick wants to get married every year.
Good thing she’s making millions, looks like Nick is enjoying spending her money.
Hollywood - Britney Spears was involved in a minor car accident on Tuesday afternoon on Sunset Boulevard.
The accident took place Tuesday afternoon when she was involved in a fender bender with a car in front of her.
She was driving her Mercedes on Sunset Boulevard when she rear-ended a red Ford Explorer.
Spears allows her bodyguard to do things such as exchanging papers while she stayed in the car, which took minor damage.
No one was hurt or anything like that, as Spears returned home following the accident.
Spears, 26, has been invloved in several car accidents over the past several years.
Washington - The finals for American Idol will be David Cook going up against David Archuleta, as Syesha Mercado is expected to be voted off tomorrow night.
The top three performed on Tuesday night on American Idol, with Syesha, David Cook, and David Archuleta all performing 3 songs each.
David Cook stole the show with three top-notch performances, capped off with a great version of Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing to close the show.
David Archuleta did decent, coming in second behind Cook due to weird songs. His Billy Joel song was not all that entertaining, no rwas Christ Brown’s With You. (more…)
Los Angeles - Remy Ma has has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
A New York judge handed down the ruling earlier today and was surprisingly lenient; Ma faced up to 25 years after being found guilty recently of shooting a woman during a dispute.
And it looks like a cell block wedding won’t be happening for Remy and Papoose any time soon.
The rapper and her boyfriend had plans to tie the knot at the correctional facility.
The New York Post is reporting however that Papoose has been banned from seeing his would-be bride after guards discovered a key that could open handcuffs on him.
Boston - It has been confirmed that Jimmy Fallon will replace Conan O’Brien on Late Night on NBC.
Once Conan O’Brien takes over for Jay Leno, little was known as to who would be filling his spot.
It has now been confirmed thogh that once Conan makes the move, we will be watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Conan O’Brien is set to take the spot currently held by Jay Leno in 2009.
At this time, Jimmy Fallon will move to Late Night.
We will have to wait and see how he does in the spot, but it appears all of the pieces are now in place for big moves next year.
Orlando - It appears that Miley Cyrus is set to have a new partner, John Travolta.
Miley Cyrus is going to be lending her voice talents to the upcoming Disney film, Bolt.
She will be singing along with John Travolta.
Reports state though that Travolta may be doing more than just the movie with Cyrus, as they could record a duet together as well.
The animated film Bolt from Disney is set to hit theaters in Thanksgiving 2008.
There is no word yet on what type of characters they will be playing, any information on the songs, etc.
Los Angeles - If Playboy founder Hugh Hefner gets his way, Miley Cyrus will be showing a lot more of herself in the not-too-distant future.
Hefter, 86, has come out and stated that he would love to have “Hannah Montana’ star Miley Cyrus pose nude in his magazine — when she turns 18 of course.
“She’d be welcomed in the magazine. Very pretty lady,” Hefner told the “Extra.”
The Heff also defended the recent racy photo of Cyrus appearing topless in Vanity Fair.
“I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality,” he said.
Speaking to a screaming crowd Saturday night while onstage at the KIIS-FM Wango Tango, Cyrus said “we’re all changing…I thank you for helping me as I grow through that.”
Cyrus 15, reportedly earned $18.3-million last year, according to People magazine.
