US owners of Samsung devices Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge should probably jump into Settings>System updates as Samsung has rolled out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for several devices including the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge in the United States. However, carriers are usually a little late in releasing the update as they customize it before pushing it out.
Recently, Verizon started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in the United States, bumping the software version to G920VVRS4DQD1 and G925VVRS4DQD1.

The update is quite heavy since it involves a major operating system update and a bunch of security enhancements so make sure you’re connected to a wifi network before you start the download process.
It’s worth mentioning that the update is rolled out in phases so it may take a little time for the update to reach all devices. So if you still can’t wait for the update, you can manually check it from Settings and install it.
