Four people found dead in British Columbia residence

Four people were found dead Friday afternoon in a residence on Lake Venables, about 120 km west of Kamloops, British Columbia, local media reported on Saturday.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the provincial coroner’s office have opened investigations.

“The scene examination will be carried out throughout the weekend,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk in a news release Saturday.

“The Ashcroft Victim Assistance workers are also assisting in this matter.”

The macabre was discovered by RCMP patrol officers who were dispatched to the scene to check if everything was normal in this residence.

The investigation had not yet allowed Saturday night to understand exactly what happened in this house. Initial findings indicate that public safety would not be at risk.
