New Program Allows Searchable And Social Options To Email

New York- One of the most stalwart of business applications is the ever-demanding email, and for the last ten years since its introduction in 1997 MS Outlook has been the big kid on the block with few changes to its operation.

But that is beginning to change.

New upstart add in program Xobni (inbox, spelled backward) promises to help some of the drudgery of the email operation, by adding to the performance of MS Outlook and helping it in how it functions.

The new add on program is a module that works with Microsoft Outlook in managing and sorting email, to help give it a “social relationship,” priority.

The add on appears as a sidebar in the Outlook program, and it functions as a quick glimpse into contacts, emails and which files have been exchanged.

“Xobni takes information and data traditionally trapped inside the email and connects the dots, allowing you to view and manage your emails effectively and easily,” said Matt Brezina. Mr. Brezina is the head and co founder of Xobni.

“Our software helps to reveal the relationships and network information on your emails, and helps you to manage your flow of communication and your relationships through your emails,” said Mr. Brezina.

The company originally offered a free open beta test version of their software in 2007 but then decided upon overwhelming demand for their product to take the code and make it private.
