Twilight New Moon Update
Three new posters of the upcoming New Moon movie in the Twilight saga have been released. The new posters depict the vampires together with Bella, the wolf pack, and the Volturi.
The Cullens family and Bella look amazing, as usual. Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, and Edward, played by Robert Pattenson, are in a tight embrace in the forefront of the poster, with the rest of the family in the background.
Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, is full of muscle in the new poster. He looks totally different than he did in Twilight, and no longer wears the happy-go-lucky smile, but instead looks just a bit menacing. It’s hard to believe he is still only 17 years old. The wolf pack, as they are called, are all sporting black sleeveless shirts. They also all have a Quilete tribal tattoo on their right arm.
Now we come to the Volturi- the vampire equivalent of the Mafia. Dakota Fanning is in the spotlight in this poster. She plays the much feared Jane. Michael Sheen, just to the back and right of Fanning, plays Aro. The red eyes, accomplished by the actors wearing red contacts, show that their choice of blood is human.
These posters will primarily be posted at bus stops and other outdoor hot-spots. The movie comes out in November, and Twilight fans are waiting impatiently to see part 2 of the saga.
With the recent arrest of director Roman Polanski, the future of his latest film “The Ghost” is left in question. “The Ghost” starring Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor, Kim Cattrall, Tom Wilkinson, Olivia Williams and James Belushi is based on a novel of the same name written by Robert Harris and released in 2007.
The story centres on a ghostwriter who’s hired to help write the memoirs of Adam Lang (Brosnan), a British leader.
Filming is already complete however some editing, the music score and mixing all still need to be finished and with Polanski under arrest on charges of rape stemming from an incident in 1978 we don’t know when it will be completed.
Polanski’s agent Jeff Berg says about Polanski’s current situation “I’m always optimistic when it comes to Roman. He’s strong, and he has survived every situation imaginable.”
“The Ghost” has distribution set for Germany and France with a release scheduled for next year.
No distribution has been secured for the United States yet.
Well, it looks like Britney Spears has done it again; this time her most recent song aptly titled “3,” condones a threesome as an acceptable means of sexual expression: the problem with her unrivaled ingenuity is that most of her audience are “tweens, ” which typically refers to the age of twelve. Unfortunately, Spears’ target audience does not understand what a threesome is exactly, but with enough investigative energy and prodding, the “tween” will in a few years be following suit.
In addition to learning that having babies as a teenager is wonderful, the means by which the baby is conceived will be illustrated in Spears’ sexual guidelines pop-up book. Unless of course parents’ decide to intervene and perhaps filter the material that their child gets his or her ears and eyes on.
Here are some of the lyrics to her most recent canticle: “Three is a charm, Two is not the same, I don’t see the harm, So are you game?” For those that feel confused, don’t be, Spears is in fact speaking of golf. Following in the footsteps of Perry Farell’s “Three Days,” which possibly contains even less wit than “3,” Spears plans on doing it her way; and the release is set for Nov. 24th, nearly five years after her last groundbreaking work of art.
If you live anywhere in the North America or probably in most of the world, there is very little chance your have not heard about the Twilight Series of books and movies.
Three New Moon posters became available for sale today. The three are similar in style of artwork but the themes of each are very different.
In the first poster Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are shown “hugging”.
There is definitely a look about them though (maybe because they are “hugging” so close) that tells you they are together.
The remainder of the Cullen’s are posing in the background. Jackson Rathbone is leering at the couple; he is giving the couple a leering creepy look. The remainder of the Cullen’s are not doing much besides posing, rather nicely.
In the one of the other posters released today. The wolves are all standing somewhat pack-like, including Taylor Lautner. The only downside of this poster is that they all, especially Lautner have cut-off t-shirts on.
In the third the Volturi Gang are posed all red-eyed and ready to go.
The top of each of these posters says “The New Chapter Begins”. The new movie is not due to premiere for 53 (who’s counting?) more days so these posters will keep the hype about the movie going for sure.
The University of Toronto has developed a new tool to help diagnose prostate cancer in just a matter of minutes. The tool is able to test for prostate cancer without painful biopsies. This will encourage more people to get tested for cancer, and save more lives.
The device measures the cancer causing antigens in a urine or blood sample and can have results in about 30 minutes or less. This makes the waiting time for patients, much more bearable verses waiting weeks to hear back from your doctor. The device is still in the beginning stages, and if it is approved for use, it will still take a couple of years before it is seen in doctors offices.
The device can also be used to test for head and neck cancers or some infectious diseases like MRSA, HIV, and H1N1.
This device has the potential to save money in expensive medical testing and lab work. It will be able to tell the type of cancer and what stage the cancer is in, by reading markers in a urine or blood sample.
The challenge for scientists around the world, will be identifying specific markers for the 1000 or so different known cancers. Only 9 have had the specific markers identified thus far.
The device will eventually have an assortment of chips, each chip will be used to look for different illnesses. Eventually the chips will have the ability to be programmed to each doctors specific concentration levels of disease biomarkers that they are looking for.
Director Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland on Saturday after flying into Zurich to attend the Zurich Film Festival.
He was scheduled to receive an honorary award at the festival but was apprehended at the airport before he could attend.
The 76 year-old faces possible extradition to the U.S where there is an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Polanski is wanted for having sex with a 13 year-old girl back in 1977.
He fled from the U.S. in 1978 after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
The director, best known for his work on “The Pianist”, “Chinatown” and “Rosemary’s Baby,” has lived in France for the past thirty years.
He was married to Emmanuelle Seigner in 1989 and the couple have two children, daughter Morgane and son Elvis.
Polanski is fighting the extradition case against him so we’ll have to wait and see if/when he makes a return to the Unites States.
Tim Tebow, quarterback for the #1 ranked Florida Gators, suffered a concussion during Saturday’s game against Kentucky. After a sack by Taylor Wyndam in the 3rd quarter, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, lay motionless on the field. The play was not flagged and appears to be, by most, a good hit in the hard knocks of football. The concussion came as a result of Tebow’s head hitting a teammate’s knee while falling backward. Tebow was taken to a hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, where he remained until Sunday morning.
However, coach Urban Meyer’s call to leave his star quarterback in a 31-7 game has come under scrutiny. If the injury is serious and Tebow is unable to play, it will be a major blow to the offense. Fortunately, the Gators have a bye this week and Meyers had already planned on giving the players a couple of days off. As unfortunate as it is, Saturday was as good a time as any for it to happen. Tebow’s status for the upcoming Louisiana State game is unknown, but fans hope that he will be ready to play after some much needed rest.
John Brantley went on to lead the team to a 41-7 victory over Kentucky.
Appearing to have lost two inches off her hips from her last photographs taken in Hawaii last month, Jennifer Love Hewitt is featured on the cover of Shape magazine. The star of CBS’s intriguing drama, “Ghost Whisperer”, Jennifer Love Hewitt plays Melinda Gordon a psychic who communicates with ghosts.
But, her starring role on the cover of Shape is no ghostly creation. Although some wags are claiming that her photo was doctored to loose the extra wide hips, the article that goes with the cover photo claims that she is counting her carbs and working out with her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy.
Actually, the front cover with Jennifer proudly announces how to get rid of an inch around your hips. But, when you look at photographs of her in Hawaii last month and the front page splash, you begin to see where the doubt begins to play in people’s minds. Looks like she took more than an inch off. Actually, her body is like a perfect hour glass. Perhaps, her white bikini had some special wiring in the cups and the natty skirt like bottom might be concealing a slight bulge that her black bikini in Hawaii didn’t. Whatever, her front cover on Shape is really shapely and convincingly wholesome.
Khloe Kardashian Ties the Knot
After what was thought to be a fast courtship, Khloe Kardashian has tied the knot with basketball player Lamar Odom.
They couple have been dating for only for a few short weeks, when they were married on Sunday, September 27. Kardashian was walked down the aisle by her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, and had her sisters Kim and Kourtney standing with her. She was wearing a dress by Vera Wang.
Around 250 guests attended, including famous names such as Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, and Kobe Bryant.
The wedding was a black tie affair at their friend, Irving Azoff’s mansion. The bridesmaids included Kardashian’s half sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Other bridesmaids were Khadijah and Malika Haqq and Lauren London. They all wore lavender gowns and carried white roses. A ten piece orchestra was there to provide music for the event. As favors, purple cupcakes representing the grooms basketball team, the Lakers, were handed out to all of the guests.
According to reports, OK Magazine paid $300k for the exclusive rights to the couples wedding pictures.
Khole Kardashian became a household name after her appearance in the reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” She has appeared on many talk shows and also was a contestant on the show “The Apprentice.” Lamar Odom plays for the Lakers and will begin training again in October.
The couple met at a party thrown for another member of the Lakers. The wedding was recorded and will be included in an upcoming episode of, Keeping up with the Kardashians.” This is a first marriage for both of them.
Since the start of the ‘Twilight’ series, rumors have swirled around its stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. While the two have never publicly acknowledged a romantic relationship, they have been photographed together continually and in a variety of intimate poses. Now, according to ‘In Touch Weekly’, the pair are about to go public with the relationship.
In an upcoming issue of ‘Harper’s Bazaar’, Pattinson and Stewart appear in an interview and a photo spread. The pair are said to reveal that they are, in fact, dating. However, a number of interviews and tabloid covers have promised the same type of revelation since the ‘Twilight’ movies began filming. So far, none of them have delivered. What makes this particular interview different?
A source from the ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ claims the couple were “relatively open about their relationship” during the interview. “Relatively” leaves a lot of room for different outcomes. It certainly would not be the first time a leading couple has hinted at romance until filming was over and they went they separate ways.
If past Hollywood set romances are any indication, fans of ‘Twilight’ will be left wondering until the (likely) bitter end. In the case of this latest rumor, fans will know soon. The issue of ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ hits stands in December.
