Toronto - One man is under arrest and another is being sought after a shooting in a North York neighbourhood.
Two males opened fire on one another shortly after 8am Wednesday on Arleta Avenue at John Lindsay Court, north of Sheppard Avenue between Jane and Keele Streets.
Police say witnesses heard between four to six shots.
No one was hurt although two workers were inside a moving City of Toronto truck that was hit by a bullet.
Nearby St. Martha Junior school was placed under lockdown as a precaution.
A 27-year-old man is under arrest.
The search continues for the other suspect.
Toronto - A Macs Milk store clerk has been rushed to hospital with stab wounds from a robbery.
Police say the robbery occured at 31 Tapscott near the Malvern Town Centre in Scarborough around 5:40 this morning, CFRB reported.
Two teenagers have been charged in a series of seven downtown street robberies in the last week. People who were walking alone in the Parkdale, Bloordale and Little Italy areas were threatened with guns or bats and robbed of cash and valuables by masked men.18-year olds Brian Dias and Danny Nguyen are under arrest but police believe 2 others were also involved. They say the arrested pair had an imitation gun.
Los Angeles - Chad “Pimp C” Butler, one-half of the Houston hip-hop duo UGK along with Bun B, is dead.
Butler was found dead in a hotel room at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood yesterday morning around 9AM, after family members had reported him missing.
Firefighters responded to 911 call and discovered the deceased singer in his bed.
The LAPD homicide department is currently investigating. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
Pimp C was released from prison nearly two years ago after serving about half of an eight year sentence in prison for failing to complete community service related to a prior assault charge.
He had turned his life around in the time since, recording the UGK hit “International Players”, which featured Andre 3000 and Big Boi.
He was 33-years-old.

The Spice Girls made their long awaited return, launching their reunion tour in Vancouver last night.
The girls gushed about how wonderful it’s been being back together again.
