Los Angeles - Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has found herself in the middle of a scandal after racey photos of her appeared online.
Arguably, compared to the photos released by Vanessa Hudgens, the photos of 15-year-old Miley Cyrus are tame.
The photos show Miley and a friend joking around and pretending to kiss.
According to Miley, the photos were taken at a sleepover with an old friend but the media has twisted the entire frame and labelled her as a lesbian. According to her, there is nothing bad about those pics and that the another girl in the picture is her best friend, who is a normal girl.
The Hannah Montana star is reportedly mad because of the crazy and outrageous claims which are doing rounds. She said,
“It’s two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that’s bad, then what is the world coming to?”
Los Angeles - Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, according to media reports Friday.
The couples rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms to People magazine exclusively, but refused to give any explanation. The couple has been married 11 years and have a son and a daughter, Hopper, 14, and Dylan, 16.
“Marriage ain’t easy, but it’s great most of the time,” Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. “I love Robin. I’ve always loved her.”
Robin is best-known for her roles in the movies “The Princess Bride,” “Forrest Gump” and “Moll Flanders.”
Penn was previously married to Madonna for four years and won an Oscar for “Mystic River”.
Toronto Pakistan’s Opposition Leader, Benazir Bhutto was remembered at a special service at the Mississauga Muslim Community Centre this afternoon on 2505 Dixie Ave west.The People’s Party of Pakistan organized the memorial and prayer service, in which hundreds attended.
“The impact has spread worldwide,” said Imran Chaudhery, President of The People’s Party of Pakistan.
Members from other ethnic communities also grieved Bhutto’s death.
“I’m a Chinese Canadian but I have lots of friends from the Pakistani community,” says Aimin Li, a resident in West-end Toronto. “So I’m here to show my respects and share the grief with the rest of the community.”
A second memorial service is set to take place in Toronto at Queens Park on Sunday around four o’clock.
Los Angeles - Former O.C. actress Mischa Barton, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being pulled over early Thursday morning, reported to MTV News.
According to a police report, Barton was pulled over around 3:00am Thrusday morning.
The 21-year-old actress was also charged with possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended license, according to TMZ.
The actress has since been released on US$10,000 bail from the police station.
Barton who rose to fame staring in the Orange County Drama, The OC, has also appeared in A James Blunt music video for the song Goodbye My Lover.”

It is both a disease of poverty and, like other neglected tropical diseases, also “poverty promoting.” Chagas disease is often considered a “silent killer”, which is one of several reasons why it fails to attract media attention.
In this week’s PLoS Medicine, Rick Tarleton (Center for Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases and Department of Cellular Biology, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA) and colleagues discuss the many obstacles that the global health community faces in tackling Chagas disease.
“Current vector control methods and strategies have significant limitations, diagnostics are variable and of unknown reliability, drugs for treatment are inadequate, and vaccines are nonexistent,” say the authors. But there’s a glimmer of hope, they say. “There are numerous partial solutions already at hand that, if used in a coordinated manner, and with consideration of the unique characteristics of endemic areas (e.g., rural underdevelopment, poverty, lack of adequate housing, and increasingly decentralized health services), could have a significant impact.”
Washington - Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been killed in a suicide attack after a political rally in Rawalpindi.
Initial reports say Bhutto was not injured in the bombing attack that killed at least 20 people and left many others injured. However, there are conflicting reports about how Bhutto was killed. Some reports suggest she was shot in the neck and chest while others say she died from injuries suffered in the suicide bombing.
Witnesses say the bomber struck shortly after opposition leader Benazir Bhutto addressed a political rally in the city.

If you recall, I reported about the Fergie, 32, and Josh, 35, engagement rumors almost a year ago this week. What makes this time around any different? As it turns out, TMZ claims to have confirmation from Josh’s rep that the two are in fact planning to walk down the aisle.

Hamilton - A genetic mutation appears to link Hispanic, young African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish women who have breast cancer, a new study by U.S. researchers shows.
The mutation of the BRCA1 gene had been known to occur among Ashkenazi Jews but researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine and the Northern California Cancer Center found it among Hispanic and young African-American women, as well, the San Jose Mercury News reported Tuesday.
“The message is that these minority breast cancer patients may need screening in ways that we hadn’t appreciated before,” said study author Alice Whittemore of Stanford.
The results, based on 3,181 California cancer cases, are to be published in Wednesday’s issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Ashkenazi Jewish women with breast cancer had the highest rate of the BRCA1 mutation at 8.3 percent, followed by Hispanic women at 3.5 percent. While African-American women of all ages had a 1.3 percent rate, 16.7 percent of those under age 35 had the mutation. Non-Hispanic whites with breast cancer showed a 2.2 percent rate.
Those with the mutation have a roughly 65 percent risk of developing breast cancer and 39 percent risk of ovarian cancer.
